
Cucumber cocktail
Start your party with a refreshing cucumber cocktail! Whether you’re a gin enthusiast, prefer the simplicity of vodka or you like it without alcohol, this cucumber cocktail has it all. The mix of sugar and limes gives a lovely sweet and sour taste, while the cucumber and basil provide the freshness.

- 1 bunch of basil, finely chopped
- 100 grams sugar
- 100 ml water
- 2 cucumbers
- Juice of 2 limes
- 50 ml water and 50 ml gin or vodka, or 100 ml water
- Pinch of salt
- Serve with a slice of dried lime and thinly sliced cucumber

- In a small saucepan, combine sugar with water, a pinch of salt, and finely chopped basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for at least 10 minutes. Afterward, blend the mixture with a hand blender until smooth, then strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve. Allow it to cool in the refrigerator.
- When you're ready to make the drinks, combine 4 tablespoons of the basil syrup, 2 peeled cucumbers, the juice of 2 limes, water or a mixture of water and gin/vodka, and a pinch of salt in a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Divide the mixture into 4 glasses and garnish each with a slice of dried lime and thinly sliced cucumber.
